Authorities say the suspect in the car-ramming attack in Munich that injured 39 people appears to have had an Islamic extremist motive, but there’s no evidence that he was involved with any radical network.

The car ramming into a rally in the Bavarian capital on Thursday has left at least 36 injured, German authorities said. Munich's prosecutor said there was no evidence linking the incident to terrorist organizations.

A car drove into a union demonstration in central Munich injuring at least 28 people including children, authorities said. Bavarian governor Markus Soder said the incident on Thursday was “suspected to be an attack”.
