The Philadelphia Eagles lost to the Cleveland Browns in a pretty boring Saturday afternoon preseason game. Final score, which doesn’t matter, but we’re logging it here anyway: 22 to 13. The Birds were outgained by 243 yards. They ran 44 plays for just 88 yards. Not pretty. Read on for some observations.
The Philadelphia Eagles will host the Cleveland Browns in and NFL preseason Week 2 clash on Saturday. The reigning Super Bowl champions didn't feature any of their starters in their preseason opener,
Joe Flacco is expected to start that game, but the Browns would like to see their young quarterbacks, Sanders and Dillon Gabriel (hamstring) get some playing time as well. It remains to be seen if Kenny Pickett (hamstring) will be ready for action next week.

McCord, who played at St. Joe’s Prep, tossed a 9-yard touchdown that left him face down on the Linc grass, a highlight in an otherwise shaky outing for the Eagles offense.
The Eagles continue the 2025 preseason with an exhibition against the Browns at Lincoln Financial Field on Aug. 16. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET
