In new legal filings, the top executive has made his first public statements on the rapper's unprecedented lawsuit against his own label

U niversal Music Group Chief Executive Lucian Grainge called Drake's lawsuit over Kendrick Lamar's hit diss track "Not Like Us" a “farcical” effort that's “groundless and indeed ridiculous.”

In a declaration letter, UMG's CEO was particularly blunt in describing Drake's legal moves as "groundless and indeed ridiculous," and also revealed that the company had spent "hundreds of millions" supporting the Canadian rapper.
