Galaxy AI is a collection of AI tools on Samsung Galaxy devices powered by Google's Gemini Pro and Imagen 2 AI models and Samsung's own Gauss generative AI model. Directly comparing Galaxy AI to Gemini is impossible, as most Galaxy AI features are essentially Gemini features with a Galaxy coat of paint.

Samsung has finally brought its Ultra design into line with the rest of the Galaxy series, with sharp results. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is extremely powerful and long-lasting, with some of the most advanced AI applications yet.

But this is Samsung’s first proper attempt at AI that focuses solely on the device. If the company sticks with it, Bixby could become an essential part of the Galaxy experience. Gemini could only act on a couple of these commands because its focus is entirely different to Bixby’s.
