Show creator and writer Julian Fellowes says he couldn’t help but be influenced by what’s going on in the modern world when setting his story for season three of HBO's "The Gilded Age." (June 21)

Set during the 1880s, "The Gilded Age" explores themes of social mobility, wealth, class, and the changing American society during a time of immense industrial growth.
