After about 24 hours of combing the waters around the Birdseye Boat Ramp, authorities said Thursday that they had exhausted all efforts.

Multiple crews have been searching for the boy, who fell in the water around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, officials said.

Officials have suspended a search for a 6-year-old boy who fell from a boat ramp into the Housatonic River in Stratford on Wednesday afternoon. Crews said they are no longer actively searching and switched over to a recovery mission before ultimately suspending search efforts.
