Kathleen Kennedy has shot down the rumor that she is retiring from Lucasfilm at the end of the year in a new interview.

Kathleen Kennedy has confirmed she isn't retiring from Lucasfilm anytime soon, despite reports of the contrary. That said, she has "every intention of making an announcement months or a year down the road" as to her role within the company.

Kennedy joined Lucasfilm in 2012 as co-chair alongside “Star Wars” creator George Lucas. Shortly after, Lucas exited his post as Disney acquired the company for $4 billion, and Kennedy was elevated to president.
