On Friday, a federal jury ruled that Meta – the last defendant in a lawsuit that initially also included Google, Flo Health and Flurry – had illegally collected user health data from period and pregnancy tracking app Flo.

The tech company has lost a massive privacy case involving the Flo app that has raised huge questions about how health apps are secretly being used.

Meta has been found liable by a Californian federal court for using sensitive personal data from Flo Health to run targeted ads.
