Dame Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan sit down with TODAY’s Savannah Guthrie to talk about their new Netflix movie “The Thursday Murder Club” where they play retirees who investigate cold cases. This also marks the first time they have scenes together in the same project.

Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan and Ben Kingsley headline the cast, bringing both gravitas and comedic flair to the offbeat whodunnit. Their characters, far from content with knitting and tea, are portrayed as quick-witted, sharp-tongued and surprisingly resourceful when faced with genuine peril.

The Thursday Murder Club stars appeared on the Monday, Aug. 11, edition of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, during which they tried some of host Jimmy Fallon 's spicy salsa that included tomatoes, garlic, onion, jalapeños, cilantro, lime and salt.
