New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye participated in his first-ever Pro Bowl event on Thursday night, but did not fair well in the "Passing the Test" challenge.

The Patriots are on track in their continued efforts to rebuild the team. They hired Mike Vrabel as the new head coach and lead visionary on the journey. The combination of Maye and Vrabel could be the building blocks for an eventual return to prominence for the once-great organization.

Drake Maye is more than familiar with his new offensive coordinator. When the quarterback came to New England last year, he dove into his new playbook but also watched game film from past Patriots seasons. As it turns out, those film sessions will come in handy this season when Maye is coached by Josh McDaniels for the first time.

Drake Maye: "I think the biggest thing is he's been a head coach, and he knows what it's like. So (I'm) excited to get up to New England and get things going."

The Patriots continued to be favored for major offensive help in the 2025 NFL Draft, with the latest player being a starting left tackle.
