Nathan Eovaldi pitched eight sharp innings, Rowdy Tellez blooped a two-run single on a 10-pitch at-bat in the eighth, and the Texas Rangers spoiled Aaron Judge’s return with a 2-0 victory over the New York Yankees.

Eovaldi allowed just one hit in eight shutout innings for the Rangers, shutting down one of baseball’s best lineups.

Aaron Judge returned to the New York Yankees Tuesday from a 10-game stint on the injured list. His presence didn't shift the fortunes of a faltering Yankees team.

However, Joc Pederson hit a game-tying homer off of New York closer Devin Williams in the ninth, giving the beleaguered reliever his third blown save of the season. Josh Jung then hit a three-run blast off of Trade Deadline acquisition Jake Bird in the 10th to walk it off for Texas.
