Shares of Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) jumped 5% on Tuesday to an all-time closing high of $201.03. This increase brings shares of the artificial intelligence (AI) tech leader to a year-to-date gain of 49.7%. For context, the S&P 500 index has returned 18.4% over this period.

Nvidia’s (NVDA) billion-dollar strategic partnership with Nokia (NOK) sent Nokia shares up over 20% on Oct. 28, hitting their highest level in more than three years. But perhaps the real winner was named deeper in the press release: T-Mobile (TMUS).
The partnership comes with a $1 billion Nvidia investment in Nokia, which lifted the telecom company's shares more than 25 percent in the hours after the announcement. Nvidia has also recently announced investments in Intel ( $5 billion) and OpenAI ( $100 billion ). The GPU biz has a lot of spare change lying around.
