Mangione, 26, faces murder and terror charges over the death of Brian Thompson, who was the CEO of UnitedHealthcare. Thompson, a father of two, was gunned down outside a Manhattan hotel in December.

Alleged UnitedHealthcare CEO killer Luigi Mangione is set to return to a New York City courtroom on Friday for a brief appearance in his state murder case.

Gov. Kathy Hochul insisted that the cameras crucial to the toll structure will remain in operation. "The cameras are staying on," she said.

The Trump administration said on Wednesday it was rescinding federal approval of New York City's congestion pricing program that is designed to reduce traffic and raise money to upgrade aging subway and bus systems.

New York became the first city in the U.S. to implement congestion pricing, with funds s set to fund much-needed repairs to the MTA.

The MTA immediately filed a lawsuit challenging the Trump administration in the Southern District of New York.

Trump's administration is revoking approval for New York City's congestion pricing plan, which is raising money to upgrade the subway system.
