Ousmane Dembele scored early and Gianluigi Donnarumma saved often as PSG took control of their UEFA Champions League semifinal tie with a 1-0 win over Arsenal.

By Martyn Herman LONDON (Reuters) -Paris St Germain took a big step towards reaching the Champions League final as Ousmane Dembele's early goal sealed a 1-0 win at Arsenal in a tense first leg of the semi-final on Tuesday.

But Ousmane Dembele put PSG in front after four minutes to quieten the home support with his 25th goal in 2025. PSG were dominant for much for the first half and had chances in the second to add to their tally while Arsenal had a goal disallowed for offside after Mikel Merino headed in a Declan Rice free-kick.

"PSG could have won the game by two or three. I was a bit disappointed with how Arsenal played and the fans too. It was subdued. It was like they beat Real Madrid and would walk into the final.
