After a stretch of crisp, sunny days, Northeast Ohio turns cooler and wetter late in the week with rain chances lasting into Halloween.
The rest of Monday stays dry and seasonable with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s and light northeast winds. Tuesday and Wednesday, a storm system will pass by to our south, bringing cloud cover to areas south of Philadelphia and even a couple of showers.
Late October will bring cold temperatures, rain, and wind to the region, with Halloween expected to be chilly and the first weekend of November potentially bringing freezing temperatures.
ATLANTA — After north Georgia saw one to three inches of rain on Monday, you’ll need to pull the umbrella back out on Wednesday. Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Brad Nitz says rain is coming into the area by daybreak. While it won’t be as heavy as Monday’s rain, it’ll be moderate and occasionally heavy throughout the day.
The nor'easter should clear out in time for Halloween trick-or-treating, though gusty winds may linger into the weekend.
It will be a stormy end to October in the eastern United States, and the drenching rain will be followed by a long-lasting burst of chilly air. Some snow may even fly over the northern mountains.
Daytime temperatures will gradually warm, from the mid-50s on Thursday to around 61 degrees on Sunday. Kansas City's average temperature for early November is 60 degrees.
