In the past week and a half, sex toys have been thrown on court during games in Atlanta on July 29, Chicago on Aug. 1 and Los Angeles on Aug. 5.

The incidents have drawn outrage from players and fans of a league already subject to continuous racist and misogynist attacks online.

A spokesperson for the group told USA Today that members started throwing green sex toys to coincide with the launch of the meme-coin, which was created the day before the first incident. The group wanted to use the "viral stunts" to garner attention, they said.
