The former Colorado quarterback and son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders not long ago was considered by many pundits to go as high as No. 1 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft to the Tennessee Titans. Instead, Sanders still is waiting for a phone call after two days and three rounds.

As he waits for the call -- and not a prank call, as he received on Friday -- there are some in the public who are shocked. Among them appears to be Kansas City Chiefs superstar QB Patrick Mahomes, who tweeted one word on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday night:

Somehow, Sanders' cell phone number fell into the wrong hands and the quarterback's draft day livestream caught the Colorado star getting a call from someone he thought was with an NFL team. An excited Sanders picked up the call as his friends and family gathering around, expecting to hear Sanders informed of who was drafting him.
