When the New York Jets introduced head coach Aaron Glenn and general manager Darren Mougey it was revealed the two did previously have a relationship and knew each other. Both of them discussed how Mougey was part of a group with the Denver Broncos who interviewed Glenn for a job there a few years back.

Because Aaron Glenn is one of the Jets’ own, it’s very possible you’ll see a shift in the way the franchise welcomes its alumni.

Glenn walked into the locker room in Hempstead, N.Y., with stars in his eyes. For his rookie year, 1994, his locker was next to Lott’s. Glenn held Lott, one of the NFL greatest safeties in NFL history, then at the end of his career, in such high regard that he had a hard time speaking to him like they were teammates. He’d call him a father figure.
