President Donald Trump spoke Monday in Egypt at a global summit on Gaza's future as he tries to advance peace in the Middle East after visiting Israel to celebrate a U.S.-brokered ceasefire with Hamas.
Israel has accused Hamas of already violating the ceasefire deal by withholding the bodies of the remaining 19 deceased hostages thought to have died during or after the Hamas attack on Oct. 7, 2023. Hamas has said the return of the remaining bodies "may take some time" due to the destruction.
Hamas returns all 20 living hostages, while Israel has released almost 2,000 Palestinian prisoners and detainees in exchange.
