PHOENIX (AP) — Diana Taurasi is retiring after 20 seasons, ending one of the greatest careers in women’s basketball history.

Suns guard Devin Booker explained after Tuesday's game regarding the impact that Diana Taurasi's retirement has.

In an exclusive conversation with TIME, Taurasi reveals publicly for the first time that she’s retiring from basketball. “Mentally and physically, I’m just full,” says Taurasi, who played all 20 of her WNBA seasons for the Mercury. “That’s probably the best way I can describe it. I’m full and I’m happy.”

The WNBA legend and all-time leading scorer hoisted three league titles and won two Finals MVPs across her illustrious career.

With a flair for heroic plays and her trademark bun hairstyle, Taurasi was voted by fans in 2021 as the WNBA’s Greatest of All Time.
