Drivers traveling on Interstate 81 during Veterans Day might have noticed a man standing above the interstate at exit 283 waving flags, saluting drivers and playing patriotic music. This is something Arthur LaFlam has made a yearly tradition.

The ceremony was attended by dozens of veterans and their families, and included a POW/MIA remembrance candle lighting and music by the Commonwealth Brass Quintet of the 215th Army Band.
