The Nationals opened the series with a 3-2 victory which gave Washington back-to-back wins and a 4-2 mark over the past six games. The Phillies, on the other hand are riding a three-game losing streak, which follows up a four-game winning streak.

Cavalli went seven innings, struck out five, allowed seven hits and didn't walk anyone. Cavalli's fastball hit triple digits, and he looks like the player he was once supposed to be.

After bashing back-to-back homers on Friday, Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber went 0-for-8 in a 2-0 loss on Saturday.
