Rep. Katrina Pierson says Democrats who fled the state to block redistricting votes should face consequences, as Gov. Abbott seeks Supreme Court intervention.

Rockwall, is voicing strong support for Gov. Greg Abbott’s emergency petition to the Texas Supreme Court aimed at removing Democratic Rep. Gene Wu from office. The petition stems from Wu’s alleged plan to lead dozens of Democrats out of Texas to break quorum and block a vote on new congressional maps.

Both Texas Republicans and Democrats are ratcheting up their rhetoric over proposed US House maps that could give the GOP five more seats. But the action in Austin is stalled for now.
