Senate Republicans are considering ending the filibuster to end the government shutdown, which would have devastating and permanent consequences for the country.
With control of the White House and Congress, the GOP holds all the cards. Blaming Democrats for the impasse is ridiculous.
The truth is, this shutdown isn’t about fiscal responsibility, or runaway spending, or any of the other buzzwords Republicans like to throw around. It’s about denying Democrats a win, even if that means denying Americans their health care.
