Georgia basketball is back in Athens in a bit of a tailspin in SEC play. The Bulldogs have lost four straight games since their back-to-back wins over Kentucky and Oklahoma. The Bulldogs will be in Athens tonight hosting South Carolina.

With each team desperate to end losing streaks, Georgia hosts South Carolina in Southeastern Conference play on Tuesday in Athens, Ga. Georgia (14-6, 2-5 SEC) entered the Top 25 on

ATHENS, Ga. — Asa Newell scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Georgia to a 71-60 victory over South Carolina on Tuesday night. Georgia (15-6, 3-5 Southeastern Conference) snapped a four-game skid while South Carolina (10-11, 0-8) extended its losing streak to eight games.

There is no gymnastics rivalry like that of Georgia and Alabama. The rivalry continues on Friday with its latest edition as the Bulldogs host the Crimson Tide. It all began in the late 1980s when the programs were at the top of their game.

Georgia opened on a 14-3 run and led 35-21 at the break. Demary Jr. scored 10 first-half points and Newell and James added eight apiece. Blue Cain’s 3-pointer with 4:44 left gave the Bulldogs their largest lead, 63-47, with 4:44 to play.

A ton of SEC talent sought new opportunities in the college football transfer portal, and Alabama, Tennessee, Oklahoma and Arkansas ... hype as a sophomore for Georgia in 2024.

On Friday the No. 10 Alabama Crimson Tide gymnastics team hosted the No. 1 Oklahoma Sooners. The meet ended with Alabama losing 197.55-196.3.  “We had some uncharacteristic mistakes,” head coach Ashley Johnston said of the team’s floor performance.

Alabama struggled early in its gymnastics meet against No.1 Oklahoma, 197.550-196.300. The Crimson Tide's score was its second highest of the season, up more than a full point from last week's total of 195.225 vs. Kentucky.

Georgia got out to its hottest start in quite some time and never looked back, taking down South Carolina 71-60 in the two teams’ 123rd all-time meeting.
