Tomorrow (January 20) marks the second inauguration of president-elect Donald Trump. But, this Inauguration Day’s festivities are attracting attention for a number of contrasting reasons. One of the most hotly debated points of discussion surrounds the day’s featured entertainment–which includes rappers Nelly and Snoop Dogg.

American rapper and three-time Grammy award-winning artist Nelly will perform at the Liberty Ball on Inauguration Day.

Nelly is reportedly slated to perform at one of three official inaugural events for Donald Trump, according to CBS News. He’ll be at Trump’s Liberty Ball, scheduled for Monday.

I’m not doing this for money,” Nelly stated firmly during the interview. “This is about standing up for what I believe in and taking an opportunity to engage in dialogue—not division.”

Nelly is one of several Black artists that have been announced to be performing at Donald Trump Inaugural events next week.

However, the “Hot In Herre” rapper shared his reason behind doing so. The father, who recently welcomed a son with singer Ashanti, went on Willie D Live to explain his choice. He justified his inauguration ball performance by saying he’s not political by nature.

On Friday, Snoop Dogg and Rick Ross headlined the exclusive Crypto Ball, a black-tie event organized by crypto entrepreneur David Sacks, recently appointed by Trump as the “AI and Crypto Czar.” The two hip-hop legends reportedly accepted payment for their performances in Bitcoin, currently trading at a staggering $103,000 per coin.

Snoop is just one of many performers lined up for Trump's inaugural events. According to CNN, Nelly will reportedly attend the Liberty Inaugural Ball on Monday, where Trump is also expected to be in attendance. NBC News reports that rappers Rod Wave, Kodak Black, and Fivio Foreign will also allegedly attend events.

Snoop Dogg, meanwhile, is getting dragged for agreeing to appear at a pre-inauguration event. According to The Root, the West Coast rapper will perform at the inaugural Crypto Ball hosted by Trump’s nominated “AI and Crypto Czar” David Sacks.
