The Oregon Ducks lost their fifth consecutive game, losing 68-52 to the No. 12 Michigan State Spartans. In what has been a frustrating season for Oregon, Michigan State coach Tom Izzo had high praise for the Ducks amid their recent struggles.

Oregon, led by Simpkins, responded by scoring eight straight as Michigan State went scoreless for four minutes before Carr knocked down a jumper and then his second triple of the game. Cooper and Carr combined for 17 of the team’s first 21 points while Kohler and Jordan Scott were both saddled with two fouls.

Consider it a newfound discovery, down the Oregon Trail.

The Spartans surged in the second half to get another Big Ten road victory.
