Skywatchers are gearing up for the return of the Geminid meteor shower this December. Here's a quick guide to catching it at its brightest.
The Geminids are expected to peak from Dec. 12 through 13, according to NASA. During its peak, NASA says 120 meteors per hour can be visible under "perfect conditions," including clear skies and minimal moonlight. Currently, the Geminid meteor shower may be difficult to spot due to the bright "Cold Moon" supermoon that rose on Thursday.
