The former UConn women's basketball star leads the Dallas Wings into Mohegan Sun Arena for a WNBA game against the Connecticut Sun. Both teams have struggled this season — Connecticut is 2-10, Dallas 2-11 — but the game will draw high interest.

The Dallas Wings won their first home game of the season Tuesday night, 80-71 over the Golden State Valkyries.

Bueckers — with her Dallas Wings teammates beside her — threw out the first pitch prior to Wednesday’s game between the Texas Rangers and Kansas City Royals at Globe Life Field. She tossed a strike to Rangers first base coach Corey Ragsdale and to her delight “didn’t hit the dirt.”
