The Home Secretary has rejected calls from the family of Sir David Amess for a public inquiry into his death in a letter branded “unacceptable” and “insulting” by the murdered MP’s widow and daughter.
The scheme is expected to be in place from 2026 and apply to new onshore, above-ground transmission cables and substations, as well as some upgrades.
She said she was called ‘the worst wife and mother’ for going on holiday with her friend and fellow singer Fleur East.
The murdered MP’s daughter said she would plead with the Prime Minister to reconsider the Government’s position.
