Domenico Grasso will serve as the school's top administrator while it searches for its next president, officials said.

ANN ARBOR, MI - Santa Ono’s temporary successor comes from within the University of Michigan community. Domenic Grasso, the chancellor for the Dearborn campus, was selected as the university’s interim president, officials announced Thursday, May 8. The decision came after a closed meeting by the Board of Regents.

Domenico Grasso will take over the University of Michigan effective immediately, while a search for a permanent president begins.
