FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WBAY) - One person is dead after a head-on collision in Fond Du Lac County. The sheriff’s office says the crash happened Saturday on Highway 26 near Neitman Road in the town of Waupun around 1:46 a.m.
The crash involved a passenger vehicle and a commercial box truck. The sheriff's office said alcohol is a suspected factor in the crash.
According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office, at about 1:46 a.m., the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Communications Center got multiple 911 calls reporting a crash in the area of State Highway 26 near Neitman Road in the Township of Waupun.
A driver who reportedly crossed the center line of Highway 26 and collided head-on with a commercial vehicle died at the scene early Saturday morning, and deputies believe alcohol to have been a factor.
