Florida lawmakers got their first tour of the new migrant detention facility in the Everglades called Alligator Alcatraz.Democratic lawmakers had been asking for a tour for weeks after detainees claimed there were "inhumane" conditions inside the facility.

Democratic lawmakers condemned Florida's new Everglades immigration detention center after a state-arranged visit Saturday, describing a crowded, unsanitary and bug-infested facility that officials have dubbed “ Alligator Alcatraz.

Florida Democrats are touring Alligator Alcatraz after filing a lawsuit over denied access. A press conference is set to occur before and after the tour on Saturday.
