Strong earthquake strikes Turkey’s Balıkesir province, killing one A 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck the town of Sındırgı in Turkey’s Balıkesir province on Sunday evening, killing one person and injuring at least 29 others.

The country’s disaster management authority AFAD said the quake occurred at around 7:53 pm local time in Balikesir province, near Istanbul.
