The Celtics continued their busy day after trading away Georges Niang. The C’s signed forward Chris Boucher to a one-year deal, per ESPN’s Shams Charania, as they shore up their front-court depth.

The Boston Celtics needed to bolster their frontcourt, so they turned to Toronto Raptors center Chris Boucher for some help.

Niang -- who was born in Lawrence and grew up in Methuen -- was acquired by the Celtics from the Hawks in late June in a salary dump that sent Kristaps Porzingis to Atlanta. The Celtics also received a future second-round pick in the move, which shed Porzingis' $30 million salary off the Boston books.
