At least three people were killed in North Dakota after severe weather swept across the region overnight, authorities said.

The severe storms caused significant damage to homes and infrastructure in several parts of eastern North Dakota.

The Brisses were in the path of a tornado that traveled north and killed three residents near Enderlin, which is about 55 miles southwest of Fargo. Authorities have not identified those who died.
