After Billy Napier's firing two weeks ago, multiple leaders on the Florida Gators are aiming to keep the roster together for the next head coach.

With a storied tradition, an abundance of resources and in a state brimming with elite prospects, the Florida football coaching search will have no shortage of top candidates, though a crazy coaching carousel that also has seen Penn State and LSU make moves could complicate the search.

Having not redshirted previously, Johnson is eligible for a traditional redshirt after his season-ending knee injury suffered in the fourth game of the season against Miami. After this season, he will have two years of eligibility remaining. These players have one game left before burning a year of eligibility.
