Arráez was attempting to reach on a bunt in the first inning when he collided with Astros second baseman Mauricio Dubon at first base. Arráez appeared to take Dubon's shoulder to his head and was down on the ground for several minutes.

DETROIT — Luis Arraez was placed on the seven-day concussion injured list by the San Diego Padres on Monday. The three-time batting champion got hurt Sunday night in Houston when he collided with Astros second baseman Mauricio Dubón on a frightening play at first base.

After a collision in the first inning on Sunday night that saw Luis Arraez carted off the field and brought to a hospital, he's going on the 7-day IL.
