Luke Weaver has been out for just three weeks with a hamstring injury, but a recent roster move from the New York Yankees' front office suggests he'll be back on the mound tomorrow night. The Yankees announced on Thursday that they optioned left-handed pitcher Jayvien Sandridge to their Triple-A affiliate following their final game and first win in a series against the Los Angeles Angels.

That could change on Friday, as Aaron Boone said that there’s “a chance” the right-hander will return for the start of the Bombers’ divisional series against the Orioles. Boone wanted to see how Weaver got through Thursday after throwing live batting practice on Tuesday.

The Yankees survived without him, but they will gladly welcome one of their top relievers back to their bullpen this weekend.
