Fantasy football: Is Chargers WR Ladd McConkey back in must-start status?
Chargers WR Ladd McConkey had a slow start to the season, but he's bounced back in the last two games and may be a must-start in fantasy again.
It's time to recognize that Quentin Johnston is the No. 1 receiver for the Chargers, and he should be started in all leagues in Week 5 against Washington. And it's time to recognize that, for now, Ladd McConkey is third behind Johnston and Keenan Allen.
In Week 6, though, Johnston is creating headaches. He's a game-time decision for the Chargers' game in Miami against the Dolphins, which kicks off at 1 p.m. ET (10 a.m. PT). NFL Network's Ian Rapoport used those exact words, "game-time decision," in a Saturday night report on the matter.
We're only one game into Week 8, but many fantasy managers are likely already short on must-start options. Injuries are part of the equation, of course, but this week will also see more teams on bye than any other week in 2025.
