Two Southgate police officers are home and recovering after they were shot during a pursuit of a suspect at an apartment complex Thursday night.

Two police officers were transported to a Dearborn hospital after suffering gunshot wounds, according to Southgate police.

Southgate police say they have safely taken the suspect in the shootings of two officers into custody. The officers were both shot in leg and are expected to recover.
