All school buildings and offices will be closed for Lorain City Schools on Wednesday to honor the memory of Lorain Police Officer Phillip Wagner, who was killed in the line of duty last week.

Law enforcement officers from across the state will patrol the streets of Lorain this week, allowing the city’s police department to attend the Wednesday funeral of Officer Phillip Wagner, who died in an ambush last week.

He is making sure the cruisers are spot clean ahead of the funeral procession for Lorain Police Officer Phillip Wagner. “I hope it puts a big smile on their face. Hopefully it makes them feel good about their jobs, themselves, and everything else,” said Aponte.

According to the Lorain Police Department, the memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Doors at Rocket Arena will open at 10 a.m.
