Williams team principal James Vowles has announced a long-term contract extension after joining the team in 2023. Vowles will continue leading the Grove-based outfit in its quest to become a championship-winning team.

The Williams team principal has overseen a promising two-and-a-half year period at the Grove-based outfit and managed to sign Ferrari race winner Carlos Sainz

Vowles joined Williams in 2023 from Mercedes, where he held the role of motorsport strategy director, and had initially spoken about the daunting task he faced in turning the team around. The 45-year-old famously commented that much of the team’s car build was still run off an Excel spreadsheet.
