New York Yankees second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. was suspended for one game and fined by Major League Baseball on Friday following his ejection during a game at the Tampa Bay Rays and violation of MLB’s social media policy.

New York Yankees infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr., who was ejected for arguing a strike call during a win over the Tampa Bay Rays, went on to criticize the umpire on social media during the game, likely violating MLB policy.

As a result of his actions, though, Major League Baseball opted to suspended him for a single game on Friday afternoon. Chisholm, the league said, violated its social media policy for his conduct. Chisholm is expected to appeal the suspension.
