Aug 31, 2023 · It could be that the laptop is fine but the charger doesn't support 20Vdc at 5 amps or whatever it wants. Weirdly, the Nintendo Switch charger seems to support most any of the modes. I use it all the time for the Steam Deck and just stuck it in the laptop to see if it would work. The laptop showed a message about low power charging or something.

Bought a brand-new Anker 100w charger and cable specifically for this use case, and I'm annoyed that it doesn't seem to be working as I'd hoped. Check your cable.

Sep 15, 2023 · Likewise, I have a 65W GAN charger which also worked at 60W before any updates, and it is also now limited to 15W. The only charger that works without triggering the slow charger warning is the official 100W Lenovo charger. To make sure it wasn't a power limit issue, I have a Plugable UD-4VPD (USB4 dock) which supports 100W PD 3.0 (power delivery).
