We're celebrating Pied Flycatchers! 🎉 For the fourth year running, these fabulous birds are thriving at Coombes Valley and Consall Woods in Staffordshire. This year, almost 80 nest boxes were occupied with an average number of 7 to 8 chicks per nest which is amazing! Pied Flycatchers arrive here from mid-April onwards to breed. I gave a talk to South Woodham Ferrers Camera club this week on how I went from mostly taking photos of wildlife to becoming a WIldlife FIlmmaker.
