🎊Happy International Chameleon Day🎊.... to our own handsome, Veiled Chameleon (Chamaeleo calyptratus). This species of lizard resides in dry plateaus, in higher elevations of Yemen and the border of Saudi Arabia. These cool lizards are shy by nature and will sometimes curl up, or hide behind branches to camoflauge themselves when danger is near. Our fella is pretty comfy in the Reptile House...but if you don't see him take a closer look, he blends in pretty well and he will be watching you. |
