Yesterday, April 13, marked the 47th anniversary of the beginning of Lebanon's 1975-90 civil war. An estimated 17,000 people are still missing and their fate is still unknown. An event, organised by the Committee of the Families of the Kidnapped and Disappeared, was held in Beirut and attended by the mothers of some of the missing persons.
