Immersive art meets generative technology. The Yale Schwarzman Center opened its fall 2025 season with Celestial Garden, a 360-degree installation by artist and Yale alum Leo Villareal ’90. Using custom code and 10 projectors, the work surrounds visitors with ever-shifting imagery and invites them to pause and explore. From inspiration to art. A few weeks ago, we introduced you to Sarah Tang, an art history major who paints her favorite views of Yale and New Haven. Now, we are seeing some of the images she used as a guide to create her stunning artwork. In 2019, when Tang was a first-year student at Yale, she often snapped cell phone photographs of the beauty of campus and the Elm City. Using her snapshots as inspiration, Tang later painted those campus scenes, landscapes, and architecture. In this short video
