How does the weft thread get through the warp? To make the fabric, the weft thread has to be woven through the warp threads, and this is how my loom does it. The older Hattersley loom uses shuttles, where the yarn sits inside and that takes the weft threads though, but my loom (and most that Harris Tweed is now woven on) works in a different way.
